How can I make an appointment?

To make an appointment please contact Miss Kirrily Spires on 0208 901 5502 or via e-mail at kirrily.spires@spirehealthcare.com

You can also make an appointment directly via the Spire Hospital Bushey Appointment line on 0208 901 5505.

Do I need a referral from my GP?

Whilst some patients will have a referral letter via their GP, you are also able to make an appointment directly via the above contact details.

Some patients will be referred to Mr Majed directly from their medical insurance company.

What information will my medical insurance company need?

When you speak to your medical insurance company, you will be provided with an authorisation for your first appointment. The provider (the medical insurance company) will also inform you what care your cover allows, including any tests and potential surgery.

How can I find you?

Mr Majed's Spire Bushey Diagnostic Centre Appointments are at :

290 Centennial Ave, Elstree, Borehamwood, WD6 3SU

Mr Majed's RNOH Private Patient Unit Appointments are at:

Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Brockely Hill, Stanmore,  HA7 4LP

What information shall I bring to my appointment?

Please bring your referral letter if you have one. Please also bring a list of your medication. The hospital will also ask you to bring your authorisation details from your medical insurance provider.

Please also bring any previous or up to date imaging that may have been taken, including any CDs.

Will I have all my tests done on the same day?

Whilst you may have an X-ray during the consultation, which Mr Majed will review with you, other tests including MRI scans and US scans/injections are by appointment only. You may need a follow up consultation to review the results and plan further treatment.

What happens if I need surgery?

Mr Majed will explain the process to your clearly. The benefits, risk and alternatives will be discussed. Once surgery has been agreed upon, you will have a pre-operative assessment prior to your admission. You may also need to see one of our anaesthetic specialists prior to your admission. Further information can be found in Information for Patients.

You will also be given a Procedure Code to give to your medical insurance company for authorisation.

What happens after surgery?

Your post-operative care will be explained at your appointment with Mr Majed. Information will also be given to you by the admissions team, and after your surgery by the physiotherapy team. More information can be found  in Information for Patients.
